There is no perfect solution, and each of these has its merits. You might like svd2rust (or one of its derivatives like chiptool) because it generates all the low-level drivers for your whole MCU at once. I like how tock-registers lets you define your drivers one peripheral at a time, however I struggle to find the documentation I need for any given field or register. I like that safe-mmio solves the AArch64 hypervisor problem at the same time as solving the MMIO reference problem, but I would probably combine it with bitbybit rather than bitflags, because the bitbybit APIs just work better where fields are enumerations or values wider than simple booleans.
